For several years now I’ve been considering writing a novel for the masses, just because I believe it allows for growth, not just to get my name out there, but as a writer of fiction.

My journey isn’t close to done, so branching into another genre is key I believe, to growth. I started this journey writing science fiction and I thought that was all I’d ever do, then I was asked to write a contemporary novel and I shuddered with fright.  I didn’t think I had it in me.  The story happened TODAY.  There were NO COOL gadgets.  It was the REAL world!  But I wrote it and proved to myself that I could do it.  Putting the last period on the last page, sitting back, looking at my work, sighing with happiness and saying “It’s done.”, can’t be underestimated in its powerful meaning.

The novel I’m working on now, something I began two years ago, is purely fantasy.  Magic and different creatures of my own creation and it’s for anyone —  with a PG rating.  I have this summer, the summer I’m calling the summer of wonder, because it’s here, with this story, that I could change the direction of my stream and potentially have it meander into that wild river of the mainstream press.

No hints, no titles, no synopsis just yet, but hopefully by the end of August, I’ll be able to give a little blurb.

Jack, Edge, Toren and Tees journey back to Jupiter’s largest moon, Ganymede, to rejoin the rebellion and regroup their forces, to destroy the last vestiges of the dark robe fleet. Upon arriving at Ganymede, they find the base’s power has been shut down and the base seemingly evacuated. Jack and his friends soon find themselves on a journey that will test all of their strengths and bring them closer to armageddon.

So, work has resumed on DR3.

Hi all. I just wanted to post a pretty important update. My current two works are on hold for a time while I work on book 3 of my Dark Robe Society series. Yes! I am giving it a tentative title of Dark Robe Armageddon, but we’ll see when it gets closer to completion. Here is what may be the beginning…

Edge knew something was troubling his lover. He had barely spoken a word to him since they’d dropped the bomb on the Dark Robe base. He knew Jack hadn’t wanted to cause the death of all those thousands, but Edge made it a point to emphasize they were only clones. They, he was certain, didn’t have the emotions that made himself and Jack, human. Real people.
